“Bucket Brigade”

October 28, 2018 by malonecentenaryumc

A CALL TO ACTION!

Centenary UMC is challenging the communities of the North Country to join the “Bucket Brigade” by collecting items to fill 100 five gallon buckets full of cleaning kit supplies to assist those who have been ravaged by the recent hurricanes that made landfall in North Carolina and Florida.

During November 2018:

Please use the UMCOR list attached to this post to gather your donations.  There are 15 items, including the 5 gallon bucket itself, that make up a complete kit. We welcome ALL donations of any size or configuration of items on the list, but as a helpful guide, we will concentrate each week on just a few items to make sure we receive all those needed to pack complete kits:

  • Throughout November: Five-gallon round bucket with lid
  • November 4th & 11th: Items 2 – 6
  • November 18th: Items 7 – 12
  • November 25th: Items 13 – 15

Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 4:00 pm we will gather as a “Bucket Brigade” to sort and pack supplies and share a simple supper of soup and sandwiches in the Fellowship Hall at Malone: Centenary UMC.

Donations of buckets and supplies can be dropped off:

Monday – Friday ~ 9:00 am – Noon

Malone: Centenary UMC
