A message worth hearing by a contemporary artist:

  • This is a song about the city of Birmingham, Alabama and the struggles of the civil rights movement of the 1960s. It is also an anthem for peace and a call to keep hoping and never give up fighting darkness with the power of light.

  • Grand Prize Winner of the 2016 NewSong Music Performance & Songwriting Competition
  • Featured Performer in the ASCAP Foundation’s “Songwriters: The Next Generation“ 2017 showcase at The Kennedy Center
  • Winner of the inaugural “ASC Commissions Birmingham” song contest, 2014, with “Side By Side“
